Haiti, Port-au-Prince, Friday 15 November 2024
WFP has completed a distribution which reached 50,000 people in Croix-des-Bouquets, a neighbourhood north of the capital which has been cut off from humanitarian assistance for years due to violence related to armed groups. Thanks to safe, meaningful and principled access negotiations, WFP and partners were able to deliver 300 metric tonnes of food to this area, where the population is facing emergency (IPC phase 4) levels of food insecurity.
